ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN CHURCH of BAY SHORE                                   New York

Kristian T. Baudler, Pastor

SOLA GRATIA

SOLA SCRIPTURA

SOLA FIDE

    Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting St. Luke's Lutheran Church online. After being closed for four months due to Covid-19, the church has reopened with CDC distancing and face mask requirements in place. We are located at 3 Lawrence Lane in Bay Shore, New York on the corner of Montauk Hwy. & Lawrence Lane.

Established in 1925, St. Luke's has been a beacon of hope proclaiming the love of Jesus Christ to the Long Island community for 98 years. Come hear the good news of justification by God's grace for sinners by faith alone in Christ alone.

        We Believe

We are a Lutheran congregation of "solas":  sola gratia, sola fide, sola scriptura!  That is, we believe that we are justified in God's sight by his grace alone, received by faith alone, in His Word alone.   We believe steadfastly in the promise of the Gospel that all of our sins have been forgiven for Jesus' sake and we proclaim the good news of the cross announced in the scriptures and articulated in the 1530 Augsburg Confession and 1580 Book of Concord.  "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but has eternal life."

                                       John 3:16

                   Weddings

St. Luke's offers a marvelous setting for all weddings in a beautiful 17th century style Tudor building with its all-stained glass sanctuary.  Click "Visit Us" for inquiries and begin planning your magnificent ceremony today. Use the tabs above to visit the "Portrait Gallery."
